PTG Officer Bios

Jennifer Cheatham
PTG President

American-born, Jen was raised in Washington State. She left the US for university in 2002 to study international business in Paris, then to complete her MSc at the University of Edinburgh. Since 2010 she has lived in the Middle East with her husband, Omar, and their children – first in Sana’a Yemen then moving to Amman Jordan in 2016. In 2019, Jen and Omar joined the ACS and PTG community with their two daughters, Nora (5th grade) and Dalia (2nd grade.)

Jen has held professional positions in regional economic development and the technology industry. Currently, she runs a nonprofit for kids in Jordan with type 1 diabetes, SugarBox. Alongside Nora (who was diagnosed in 2017), they are committed to raising awareness about this misunderstood disease. 

She hopes to bring a passion for community understanding and kindness to the PTG, helping our kids learn how to put curiosity over judgment from an early age.

Iman Marto
PTG Vice President

Iman Marto was born and raised in Amman and completed her undergraduate education at Georgetown University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. She has extensive experience in the telecom industry and regularly provides consultancy services to startups. Iman’s passion for education led her to pursue certification in college counseling, and she now dedicates her career to guiding students as a college counselor.


Iman is deeply committed to the American Community School (ACS) community, where her three children—Ramzi (Grade 9), Rafik (Grade 6), and Raya (Grade 3)—are enrolled. She has been an active participant in school life, serving as a Class Parent annually and taking on leadership roles within the Parent-Teacher Group (PTG). After serving as Treasurer, Iman now holds the position of Vice President of the PTG. She looks forward to applying her enthusiasm, energy, and analytical skills in her continued service to the school community.

Rana Khoury
PTG Treasurer

Rana grew up in Amman, Jordan to an American mom and a Palestinian-Jordanian dad. She completed her BA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the American University of Beirut. Rana later went on to earn her MA in Early Childhood Education from the University of Sheffield. After working for several years in Education, Rana joined her family business in 2014. Today she serves as their CEO. 


Rana has a daughter in Grade 6 at the American Community School, where she plays an active role in the community. She has served as class parent every year and has volunteered with many of the PTG events before joining the executive team this year as the Treasurer. Rana is passionate about supporting the whole school community to bring about a better experience for everyone. She is always happy to meet new people and support everyone in whatever way she can.

Ranya Haddad
PTG Secretary

Ranya grew up in Amman, Jordan to an American mom and a Lebanese dad and completed her BA and CPA license in California where she continued to work with Ernst & Young for 7 years as a senior Financial Auditor. 

She moved back to Jordan in 2007 and joined her family business as a financial manager and advisor.   

Since joining ACS back in 2015 when her first daughter started in the “Pre-K 2” program, Ranya has been a very active member of the PTG group and now has two daughters at ACS: Jenna in 8th grade and Raya in 5th grade. 

After 11 years at ACS, she is looking forward to even more ways of being involved and giving back to this amazing community.

Linsey Crisler
US Embassy Representative

Linsey was born in the U.S. and spent her childhood in Hawaii. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Political Science. Later, she earned her MA in Democracy and Governance from Georgetown University. She and her family have lived in Jordan since 2022 and she and her husband both work at the U.S. Embassy. 

Prior to moving to Amman, Linsey has lived in Lima, Caracas, Shanghai, Beijing, and Quito. Linsey has always been actively involved with Parent Teacher organizations at every school her children have attended around the world and she is delighted to be working with the ACS PTG. 

Claire (Grade 7) at ACS, Isaac (Grade 11) at King’s Academy, and Caleb (who is off to university), are used to sharing their mom with their school community and Linsey is grateful for the chance to contribute.

Leen Ali-Hasan Daoud
Booster Club Chairperson

Leen is a Jordanian-Palestinian, who was born and raised in Kuwait and moved to Amman in 1989. Upon completing her BA in Business & Italian from Franklin University, Switzerland, and briefly working in Rome, Italy, she then moved to Qatar with her ACS Alumnus husband, Amin. After returning to Amman in 2006, their family then joined ACS in 2013 with their eldest Mia (grade 9), Joud (grade 7), and Karim (grade 5).

Since graduating from college in 2001, Leen joined the Commercial Foodservice Equipment family business (Awar) and in 2004 established a branch of the company in Doha, Qatar, with her husband. In 2006, the couple opened “Adawat”, bringing KitchenAid to Jordan; then co-founded a Jordanian anti-smoking NGO, Tobacco Free Jordan in 2008, and in 2011 Leen became a managing partner at Awar, and also co-founded the first eco-friendly wet-cleaning laundry service App in Jordan: Washbox.  

Leen brings to ACS a passion for healthy eating, cooking & baking… having conducted several “Lunchbox Talks” with ACS parents & teachers as well as many live cooking classes for students.

Danya Dajani
ACS Staff Representative

Danya, a Palestinian-Norwegian who moved to Jordan at the age of four, is a dedicated member of the ACS community. As the EdTech Coordinator and a recent addition to the PTG executive committee, she is deeply committed to enhancing the school's educational experience. Danya holds a BA in Elementary Education from the American University, Washington, DC and an MSc in Technology for Special Education from Johns Hopkins University, Maryland. 

This is Danya's sixteenth year working at ACS. A proud ACS graduate herself, Danya is also a mother of three ACS students: Naser (Grade 12), Ali (Grade 10), and Kareem (Grade 5).
